My approach to
group coaching

Sometimes a group of people share a common interest, and it makes sense for them to come into a coaching environment together to harness the collective intelligence of the group and learn side by side.

For example, a group of directors or department heads working in the same company, who have similar responsibilities but are not part of the same team, who want to discuss an aspect of leadership or company strategy.

Or, a group of people who are part of the same profession or industry and want to come together to share experiences because it is an efficient way to generate ideas, co-create and encourage one another to be more effective.

1

Prepare

A conversation to gain insights about the people in the group, their shared goals and the topic they want to explore together.

2

Design

The development of a coaching session would typically be done in close collaboration with my client and will be customised to their specific requirements

3

Delivery

The group gathers together and I guide them through relevant discussions and activities that harnesses their collective wisdom and support for one another

‘Jan was fantastic to work with – thoughtful, experienced, professional and prepared to put proper time into getting the session right.

On the day she shared her own leadership story, role modelled candour and vulnerability and had many practical nuggets of advice to leaders.

CEOs found the session ‘inspiring’ and ‘empathic listening at its best’ and ‘powerful for building a sense of connection’.
